This week is a little bit special. Due to the uncertainty of Hurricane lan's track and intensity at Savannah, the school cage was closed, and we have to delay our original filming plan this weekend However, the storm was not lasting as long as I thought, it ended in two days and everything turned out well. In this case, I decided to go to Jekyll Island to collect some background footage for compositing use later.
Jekyll Island is one of the most popular islands in coastal Georgia. When I draw the project pitch, this beach first comes to my mind, because I was impressed by its huge dead woods and moss-covered oak trees along the beach, which are extremely special and different from Tybee.

Look development for the flag
1. Background Footage
I like the woods at Jekyll Island because it matches our project theme very well, it took me one and half an hour to go here and collect photo assets.

2. Look Development for the Flag
Previously I modeled the CG Flag and textured it with the aiStandardSurface Shader. This week I look into the look dev tutorial and follow it to implement this project.
The HDRI is downloaded from here: HDRI Haven
Here I add material spheres and reference spheres as a render test.
